Subject: Copy Problems with Mac and PSERVER VAPs Loaded

PROBLEM: A customer was running the NetWare for Macintosh and
experienced some strange problems. When he tried to copy a
file from a Mac to his file server, it would drag the file
server icon into the trash and log him out. The file server
utilization would shoot up to over ninety percent for
several minutes, then drop down to normal. When he copied a
file from the file server to the Mac, it worked fine.
He also copied the same file to an AppleShare file server he
happened to have there and it worked fine. He would then
drag that file from the AppleShare file server to the
NetWare file server and it would take the file fine.
SOLUTION: He was running the Mac and PSERVER VAPs on his file server.
First, he needed to make sure he was using the Mac VAP v2.0.
The Mac VAP v1.1 has problems working with the PSERVER VAP.
Second, he needed to run the patch in VAPVOL.ZIP on NetWire
(library 8).
